I'll be honest, I'm starting to strongly suspect that Tesla is not so much a car company as it is a scheme to collect electric vehicle tax credits/rebates, and in the process of that they occasionally sell some real cars.
@artemis (NB it makes the Canadian situation with the suspicious sales even more *interesting*)
@Flisty
Yeah, that's kind of the thing. I always knew they were a scam. I didn't realize *how much of a scam* until the Canadian rebate story broke, and then the final pieces slotted into place.
Maybe calling it *a* scam is incorrect: it is several scams bundled together.
@artemis Musk is a human Ponzi scheme. Every scam builds on the last. Here's hoping the house of cards collapses; he's destroyed all the departments who would hold him accountable in the US, but not globally.
@artemis he is also now probably in debt to all the people who need him to control the Twitter narrative, ie the Middle East royal families, Putin and probably Erdogan, by the looks of it. So if Twitter loses favour to other options he could find himself in a lot more trouble.
