Looking for ideas for gigs/jobs/contracts for my game, my Googling came across perchance.org/cpredfixer which is a random gig generator for . It gave me the idea for the PCs to be hired by a group looking to intercept and hijack the scheduled transfer of an uploaded psychomime (essentially "kidnap" an uploaded consiousness). The PCs are hired to disrupt operations at a satellite communications relay to force the system to divert comms to a less-secure backup facility.

@blaster218 Seems like you could turn that into a whole arc with some minor modifications. After the PCs get the job, you could have them track down a source for either access to the facility or specifics about the transfer. Once they accomplish the mission, you can throw in a containment breach of some kind (a la CP2077), then a betrayal option before the delivery.

@blaster218 There are also lots of things the PCs could be hired to do that offer opportunities to forge alliances or create enemies, like couriering stolen/illicit goods, finding information for brokers, or protecting random citizens from the predations of gangs or cops.

@giantrick I've been pulling quite a bit of inspiration for contracts from the gigs in Cyberpunk 2077. The basic "plot structure" is easily portable, just a matter of changing the names and faces. So far its all been low-level street stuff as they've only just completed their first official contract for a corporate client.
