I'm enjoying the fact that my first day active on Mastodon is ALSO the day my friend gave me an awesome behind-the-scenes tour of the La Brea fossil lab and I got to touch a mammoth skull.

@wildrosemage Last time I visited was a Sunday in March, so while I got to walk through the sites the scientists were all off exhibit. I ended up spending the drive home thinking about paleontology in fantasy settings
