As we were about to board our #flight from Sana’a, about three hours ago (around 5 pm local time), the airport came under aerial #bombardment. One of our plane’s crew members was injured. At least two people were reported killed at the airport.

Yesterday we visited the treatment centre, where there are still a few patients receiving treatment, although most are now negative for Marburg and we expect them to be discharged shortly.

So far this year, 15 664 cases of #mpox, with 537 #deaths, have been reported in #DRC alone, already exceeding last year’s total, which was itself a record. Upsurge in DRC is being driven by 2 separate #outbreaks of two strains, or clades of the virus that causes mpox.

IAEA experts at Ukraine’s #Zaporizhzhya NPP (ZNPP) witnessed thick dark #smoke coming from NW area of plant, after hearing multiple explosions throughout evening. Team was informed that an alleged #drone attack on 1 of plant’s #cooling #towers took place today. There is no impact on #nuclear safety, IAEA DG Rafael Mariano Grossi confirmed.

It is a long form “slow journalism” magazine, with a slogan “Last to breaking news”. I subscribed a couple of years ago, when the news became too much.
It comes out quarterly and covers the news of one quarter ago. Unintuitive, I know. But there is no rush or clickbait headlines. And they take time to tell you the end of the story not just the beginning and the initial outrage.
