Very brisk day for a swim. Southerly was nippy. Had the pool totally to myself for most of the half hour. Water coming over the back wall which was lovely - waves of warmer open ocean water. #ocean #swim #MerewetherBaths #NewcastleNSW #NewcastleAU

Back in the change rooms post-swim, one of the other swimmers told me she'd seen a big octopus in the lap lanes today so went back for a look. Couldn't spot it so it must be well camouflaged. #ocean #swim #MerewetherBaths #NewcastleNSW #NewcastleAU
