Did you know, there's a species of mite which spends its entire life living on and inside slugs? The 'white slug mite' (Riccardoella oudemansi) feeds on its hosts' blood, and reproduces in the slug's lung cavity.

Just over a week ago it rained in Alice Springs, and I was able to go do a bit of spot lighting. Results were disappointing but I was able to see for the first time this little gastropod out and about.
