Ich hab die Patches aus dem Mesa MR 33598 ac, radeonsi/vcn: Enable tiling for video buffers, von dem unter anderem #GFX12 bzw. #RDNA4 profitiert, schon mal in meine privaten Mesa-Builds eingepflegt. Cherry-picking macht irgendwie Spaß und steigert die Vorfreude
A lot of people are sad that #amd is only targetting low to mid tier #gpu with #rdna4 but it got me thinking.
Given they are really investing into chiplet based #gpus which will require lots of work on interconnection technology I wonder if they could revisit older sli/crossfire style tech with these advancements.
This way they don't need to compete in the enthusiast tier gpu market, they can just sell multiple mid tier cards to consumers, meaning more products sold and bigger profit.

The latest patches enable operation of several critical components: ATHUB has been upgraded to version 4.1, LSDMA to version 7.0, IH to version 7.0, and HDP also to version 7.0. Each of these IP blocks is crucial for operation of a graphics processor (in this case, presumably an #RDNA 4-based family).
