Today in #Satisfactory I built a floor in an abyss in the Snake Tree Forest under the Red Bamboo Fields. I moved the Space Elevator in there so that it sits as low as I can get it without being out of bounds. Then I built a tower around it with catwalk stairs and elevators all the way up. This will give me a path to get bauxite and begin Aluminum production.

Here’s an almost completely unrelated screenshot of my battery silo in the Green Fields. You can see the Space Elevator in its pit in the background.

Today in #Satisfactory there were tweaks to be made to the diluted fuel factory, including the addition of six more water extractors because I didn’t do my original math right. Thankfully I didn’t have to tear down my original semicircle and was able to wedge the new buildings into the existing structure.

With power taken care of I returned to my starter base - which is far from a picture of efficiency - and began finishing off my more permanent structures in the green fields.

I finished the roof on the battery bank, a circular building in the centre of the green fields that resembles a giant silo. I finished the roof on my other circular building that houses the coal generators. That one kind of resembles that UFO that Apple lives in.

I think my next project will be to set up dedicated facilities for the basic copper items now that power is sorted. I could build a quick and dirty aluminium refinery to rush the next unlocks, but I’d rather build it properly from the start, so I should now go and get those basic items automated first.

It’s all very chill and satisfying so far.

#satisfactory how to handle this with trains?

I've got a refinery creating packed fuel, plastic, rubber & polymer resin. I can easily put a station together that loads all 4 & dumps them to central storage, but if I want to only load plastic, so it can be transferred to another factory, should I make a station that is just for plastic?

[edit] think I've got it, there's a "load only this cargo" option in train orders

I really wish there were an easy to use #Satisfactory layout reference that would easily explain the logical steps needed to build a particular part efficiently, rather than layout compactness being the primary goal

just like, let it sprawl out so it's easy for me to see all the steps involved, don't fold it in on itself so it fits in a 3x3 square

📢Early stream alert!

It's Pass It On: a community art jam & build event where folks make art in Satisfactory... using only tools/blocks available in game!

This event's theme is Children's Movies, and I've got something real special planned. 😉

Stream's up at 12et (~3hrs) #satisfactory #vtuber

#Satisfactory solo progress (a rare occasion nowadays): I'm still chipping away at the work needed to get the nuclear power plant operational. Problem is, it's such a slog that I can only bring myself to work on it for an hour or so every week or so. Some day I'll get through this and past Phase 4...

Today in #Satisfactory I decided it was time to go exploring. I had set up a quick and dirty oil line to make some fuel, rubber, and plastic. I’ve finished all the milestones of Tier 5 & 6 and wanted to find some Hard Drives for those sweet, sweet alternate recipes.

I picked up some Somersloops and Mercer Spheres while searching. ADA is being a bit weird. Weirder than usual.

Made it all the way to the desert and on the way back I got an awesome view over the power plant with the space elevator in the background.

I managed to get about 20 hard drives and they’re now slowly being scanned in the MAM.

I also bought a coffee cup from the Ficsit Shop.
