#TheGarfieldMovie wasn’t the disaster it could have been. Pratt was miscast, but it could have been worse. It was still very Jim Davis, complete with the hokey songs and strong family themes.
Odie was handled incredibly well. Stole the show.

I am inclined to believe #TheGarfieldMovie reviews - that they misunderstood the assignment and packed it with heartless product placement. Still going to see it and hope it doesn’t bum me out too much. Garfield should be a sarcastic malcontent and epicurean that, while capable of writing the great American novel, realizes that ambition is a character flaw. (1/2)
