Ok folks! #hopePunk weekend challenge!

Take some time to ponder, and add your own toots to two of my favourite visioning projects:

#spoonieTown an imaginary place where we've already solved all the problems - what's life like there? What's kind of infrastructure is used? How do we take care of each other? What's a day like?

#tonicMasculinity - share your favourite examples from pop culture, your real life moments, or men you admire and why. There's so much good to celebrate. 🎉

Lovely moment of #tonicMasculinity this morning:

I was out on the porch trying to solve some bizarre mystery of the 4 bolted stool that could only ever thread 3 bolts.
Visiting fella saw me and offered to help. He tried a bunch of things, prefaced with "you probably already tried this," exploring the issue. We worked together testing theories. Was ultimately a slightly warped plate that mostly needed strong fingers to force all bolts into place.

Lovely team effort, zero mansplaining. 💪🧡

Fascism weaponizes the #ToxicMasculinity trait of never admitting you're wong. This is made even worse by the fact that they were swindled by a tier C grifter from Queens.

Combine that with American Exceptionalism & the desire for comfort over all and ~1/2 of America is still denying the reality in front of them.

#TonicMasculinity is swallowing your pride, listening to those being harmed long before you & speaking up for them. Especially if your voice is louder than theirs.

Ok here's some #tonicMasculinity for ya:

I am in town for an appt and one of my wiper blades peels right off. I am tired and crabby and urg!

I pull into a garage in this state, say I need this fixed but also could I just leave my fekkin car here for an oil change and [ranty ranty whatnot] and pick it up next week that would be awesome.

And dude was super chill and super helpful. Big burly guy, engine greased hands, but calm and kind.

THIS is the kind of strength we need these days. 💪🧡
