It seems my municipality decided it's okay to leave mountains of snow on the sidewalks, while at the same time to increase taxes. It's been a week since the snow storm, and we're yet to spot les services de déneigement.

Water evaporating over the St. Lawrence River at the former Champlain Bridge, near Nuns’ Island.
It was so cold that you can see the condensation happening right above the water.

L'eau s'évapore sur le fleuve, à l'ancien pont Champlain, près de l’île des Sœurs.
Il faisait si froid que l’on peut voir la condensation se produire juste au-dessus de l'eau.
Rue Wellington piétonne toute l'année : consultation publique à partir du 22 janvier.
