Zenit 122 camera, Helios 44m-4 lens, expired and damaged Ilford FP4+ 35mm film
In the late 1980s, #KMZ began incorporating the #Pentax K Mount on their #Zenit cameras. K mount was developed by Pentax and introduced in 1975. KMZ, among other types, released #Helios style lenses with the K bayonet.
A week ago, I found a Helios 44K-4 MC for a bargain. Here it is sitting next to its M42 brother.
I might do some comparison shots in the future. I don’t expect too much difference in bokeh, but there might be in color and flare due to coating.
A rumor had it that there was an "old Soviet camera" in the attic.
Three expeditions later, and after some cleaning, here we are.

The camera is in good condition, seemingly fully working, and only needed some exterior cleaning done—I might still try some film.
