I love Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, which is from the same designer but not a game.

I'm also a weirdo that loves Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. It has issues but I love it.

So yesterday I picked up "Classic Mode II: Dominique's Curse," a DLC for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It's basically a Simon's Quest clone game, but in the setting. I've got about 10 hours in Dominique's Curse so far.

And here we go, at very long last, the Final part of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night! Loved this game, and will definitely be playing it again in the future.

(Hopefully it won't take me this long to fully publish a series in the future haha, sorry about that)

Hopefully this qualifies for Retro-Gaiden, being a spirtual successor to the old Castlevanias and all. If not, sorry about that.

Part 17 of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Much like the RE4 video, this one has been waiting a long while - two years this June - to get published. But it's finally happening. The gates to the backlog are opening.

I just finished Bloodstained!

Well, technically I finished it last night. But I was missing a couple of secret rooms to get the 100% map completion achievement so I got that now. 😛

It was a very fun game and one of the few where I actually tried to get all the achievements.

For now it is time to move on to other games but I'd like to come back to this one eventually to play with the other characters.

Since Bloodstained was on sale on Steam I decided to finally buy it. And to the surprise of no one it is a pretty good Metroidvania.

Now I wish I appreciated this style of game more when I was younger. It was one of those cases of me thinking "games like these will always be around".

At least some of them are being made available again in modern hardware so there is that I guess.
