""Tasks that seemed straightforward often took days rather than hours, with Devin getting stuck in technical dead-ends or producing overly complex, unusable solutions," the researchers explain in their report. "Even more concerning was Devin’s tendency to press forward with tasks that weren’t actually possible."

As an example, they cited how Devin, when asked to deploy multiple applications to the infrastructure deployment platform Railway, failed to understand this wasn't supported and spent more than a day trying approaches that didn't work and hallucinating non-existent features.

Of 20 tasks presented to Devin, the AI software engineer completed just three of them satisfactorily – the two cited above and a third challenge to research how to build a Discord bot in Python. Three other tasks produced inconclusive results, and 14 projects were outright failures.

The researchers said that Devin provided a polished user experience that was impressive when it worked.

"But that’s the problem – it rarely worked," they wrote.

"More concerning was our inability to predict which tasks would succeed. Even tasks similar to our early wins would fail in complex, time-consuming ways. The autonomous nature that seemed promising became a liability – Devin would spend days pursuing impossible solutions rather than recognizing fundamental blockers.""

Former Rep. #Devin #Nunes (R-CA) once again failed at an effort to sue after being mocked by parody Twitter accounts, including one called
💥"Devin Nunes' Cow."💥

On Monday, Democratic strategist Adam Parkhomenko revealed that the case against him filed by Nunes in Virginia had been dismissed after having no activity for more than three years.

Nunes previously lost a $250 million lawsuit against Twitter for alleged damages caused by the Devin Nunes' Cow account

Personally, when ChatGPT hit the scene, I had a bit of a "ruh-roh, is my dev job safe?" and have come around to understanding the [current] major limitations of these tools.

That said, things _are_ changing quickly. Peek at #devin if you haven't yet.

MeidasTouch has obtained the initial Deck Report that was provided to investors in 2022
to persuade them to put their money into Trump Media stock
when the company went public.

This report shows that the information provided made wild claims about revenue projections based on data that was not only flawed,
it was fantasyland.

After the stock went public, the share prices soared due to a massively inflated valuation of the company based on projected earnings.

Their accounting firm was subsequently charged by the SEC with "massive fraud."

CEO #Devin #Nunes, who received a heafty base salary and stock equity in the startup to leave Congress to run the company,
stated publicly that they had hundreds of thousands of small "retail shareholders" who put their faith, and their money, in Trump's new business venture.

(Nunes recently dumped over $600K of his own shares, while CFO Philip Juhan recently sold $1.9 million of his shares.)

There are also multiple pending lawsuits involving the company.

At one point, the stock reached a high of $79.38 a share.

Since that time, it has steadily tanked, losing 75% of its value just in the last several months as smart investors cashed out and dumped the stock,
leaving Trump fans holding the bag.

The stock is currently trading at just over $14 a share.

Meidas+ · Internal Docs Show Trump Media Investors Were DupedBy Ron Filipkowski

Earlier this summer, #Devin #Nunes, the CEO of Trump Media and a former California congressman,
touched down just outside Skopje, the capital of #North #Macedonia.

He and a small group of other North American executives were there to talk business.

But they weren’t there to meet with representatives from another company.

A high-ranking official from the Macedonian government greeted them on the tarmac outside their private jet.

Then a police escort ferried them from the airport.

They were there to meet with the Balkan nation’s newly elected prime minister.

At the time, Prime Minister #Hristijan #Mickoski, the leader of the country’s conservative nationalist party,
offered little in the way of specifics about the meeting’s purpose:
“For now, I would not reveal this type of details,” he told local reporters in the Balkans who covered the meeting at the time.

In a recent earnings call, #Chris #Pavlovski, who accompanied Nunes on the trip
and who is the CEO of #Rumble, a video streaming company and close partner of #Trump #Media,
revealed that he had discussed a cloud technology services deal with the Macedonian government.

⚠️The meeting is the first known instance of the former president’s media company dealing directly with a foreign government
— and in this case one that is eager for a future Trump administration’s assistance on a wide range of security, economic and diplomatic issues
