A throwback to a stunning red sunset over the Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow in September 2023. It's also a timely reminder that while it's now getting darker earlier again, it also means we'll soon be into the season of spectacular sunsets.

Perhaps most interesting is the sword. As Kiribati has no metal ores, the islanders had to look elsewhere to make its blade and they chose shark teeth, creating a highly effective weapon which would both slash and tear at flesh in equal measure.
Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum has many treasures in it, but this probably the one which most facinated me as a child. It's a suit of armour from Kiribati in Micronesia. The body covering is made from coconut while the helmet, which is more for show than protection, is made from the inflated and then dried skin of a porcupine fish.

Good morning, Glasgow. After a slightly wet and overcast weekend, Monday's turning out to be a rather wonderful Spring day, and like the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, the city's buildings are really starting to shine, so get out there and enjoy them. As for me, I'll be spending a good part of the day teaching a class of 11 year olds how to juggle!

Good morning, Glasgow. It's a wonderful Spring day outside today with clear blue skies, and even a little bit of warmth in the sun when it hits your skin. Almost taps aff weather (but not quite!).
Good morning, Glasgow, and what a morning it is! Yes, it's a wee bit chilly, but the sun is out and the skies are blue. It really feels like Spring is well and truly underway.
