The layout is a product of its many uses over the years, with the roof garden, dome house and orangery being added later on. I love the layered cake like look of the cross section, emphasised by the two point perspective. Super fun to draw. 2/2

I should probably stop tinkering with this Moonshae map. Here I added in colour to indicate land use. This was always my intention for this map, but I think I prefer it without. I might need to layer on a hatching pattern so it’s easier to differentiate the land use. Still it is pretty.

Moonshae isles region of the Dungeons and Dragons continent of Faerun. A windswept archipelago drawn on a 17th century naval themed map. The topography was drawn as a height map with bitmap masks marking the sea and rivers before running an erosion simulation in Gaea to make it look more realistic before rendering and layering in photoshop.
