“President #Trump & #ElonMusk are pushing their dangerous political agenda, stripping #health care access from people nationwide, & not giving a second thought to the devastation they will cause,” Johnson said in a stmnt.

Federally funded programs such as #TitleX are crucial in providing access to #affordable #ReproductiveHealthcare, said Kelly Baden, VP for public policy at the Guttmacher Institute, which supports #AbortionRights.

The WSJ reported last week #RFKJr’s #HHS planned an immediate freeze of $27.5M in #FamilyPlanning grants for groups including #PlannedParenthood.

PPFA says >300 #health centers are in the #TitleX network & Title X-funded centers received >1.5M visits in 2023.

The loss of funding will mean that “cancers go undetected, access to #BirthControl is severely reduced, & the nation’s #STI crisis worsens,” said Alexis McGill Johnson, PPFA president.

"Israel’s attacks on reproductive healthcare in Gaza ‘genocidal’: UN probe" [3:08 min]
by Al Jazeera English

youtube.com/watch?v=iWXIV0eICq

Quote by AJE:
"Mar 13, 2025
Israel has carried out “genocidal acts” against Palestinians by systematically destroying women’s healthcare facilities during its war on Gaza and using sexual violence as a war strategy, United Nations experts have said.
On Thursday, the Geneva-based Independent International Commission of Inquiry said in a new report that Israel “intentionally attacked and destroyed” Gaza’s main fertility centre while simultaneously blocking medicine for pregnancies, deliveries and neonatal care from entering the enclave.
The report found that Israel used sexual, reproductive and gender-based violence as a strategy of war.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lashed out at the Human Rights Council describing the findings as an 'anti-Israel circus."

Today is #InternationalWomensDay and whilst there is a lot to celebrate, it is the most dark IWD day in my lifetime because:
- In the US, female #ReproductiveHealthcare has largely been stopped.
- In the UK, there is active campaigning to follow the US model and stop abortion.
- In Poland, #abortion is already #illegal - unless you are about to die.

Keep yourself #safe and keep your period data #private because it may save your life one day. ❤️

#LocationTracking is everywhere - often on by default. Your phone logs your movements, & apps sell this data.

Ask yourself: Do I want my grocery trips, doctor visits, or late-night walks mapped & monetized?

Disable location history, limit app access, & consider using a burner device when privacy is crucial.

On this International Woman's Day, I'm thinking of all the #women who are looking for #ReproductiveHealthcare in the US.

Be safe ❤️

There’s possibly more to this, remember when Smith’s government transferred operation of some Alberta hospitals over to a Catholic-based operator? This opens the door to taxpayer-funded hospitals refusing to perform certain services that are inconsistent with their religious beliefs. Think: #ReproductiveHealthcare #MAID #GenderAffirmingCare

A woman in South Carolina has an ectopic pregnancy and doctors are refusing to operate because of abortion bans.

It’s not just her ovary being put at risk.

Ectopic pregnancies are life threatening and require immediate surgery.

These “forced birth” policies are anything but pro life. They’re killing people and in many cases taking away their fertility.

This is cruelty. It’s not about life. It’s not about babies. It’s about controlling women. The cruelty is the point.

Saheli, a 'non-steroidal non-hormonal contraceptive pill'. Saheli dosage starts 1 pill per half-week for ... (?), then 1 pill weekly. Basically induce a brief, mini-menopause that stops when you stop the pills. saheliinfo.com/clinical-eviden

Then! ONE-YEAR vaginal ring Annovera. Unlike monthly-ish vaginal rings, (medicines.org.uk/emc/product/6) this thicker vaginal ring holds enough for 13 cycles with one week bleeding breaks, or 12 if you skip periods. Think "buff NuvaRing". annoverahcp.com/

Speaking of intra-uterine system / device options: the UK does several! We are no longer stuck with the larger, higher dose Mirena hIUS. mirena.co.uk/ I want the smaller, lower dose (but shorter duration) Jaydess fsrh.org/Public/Public/Documen or Kyleena. medicines.org.uk/emc/product/7

(You can fit a non-hormonal IUD copper coil as emergency contraception, within 10 days of unprotected sex. Fitting it as regular birth control anytime otherwise is also fine, when not pregnant.) patient.info/sexual-health/lon

Finally, vasectomy. New part is "I found multiple cases where doctors did their own vasectomies". This may be helpful for hesitant cis men and AMAB people to know. Vasectomies are reversible ("easily", according to a medical nerd friend, but obv different people's bodies respond to things in weird, cool ways, so everything depends). baus.org.uk/_userfiles/pages/f

I am not a doctor. Even if I were, I am not YOUR doctor. I do not have access to your medical records.
I'm just infodumping useful info to prevent unwanted pregnancies, minimise unplanned pregnancies, and mitigate risks. cks.nice.org.uk/topics/contrac

About damn time, #TommyTuberville is a #threat to #NationalSecurity.

Sen #Tuberville quietly ended his #blockade on the promotion of a senior #military aide to #Defense Sec #LloydAustin after the #Alabama #Republican, under pressure from colleagues, met privately w/the aide on Tues.

[Tuberville has a history of #AbuseOfPower blocking multiple appointments & military promotions because he didn’t want female service members to be able to receive #ReproductiveHealthcare.]
