Did screen printing today. Now Pixie and I are waiting for them to dry.
I thoughtlessly made it harder for myself by combining being outdoors with printmaking. Stuff flew around, and I didn't clamp or tape anything to the table.
At least I had a convenient place to hang prints to dry for a change and got some fresh air.
The colored papers are actually #gelliPrints on which I did the #screenprint. Will try to get better photos/scans once they dry.

This intermediate stage of my print made me giggle when I saw it. The brown layer's screen was made by applying thick acrylic paint with a hair dying paint brush to a mylar sheet and then cutting out eye holes and then exposing the photo emulsion on the screen. He looks like a slightly sad bear ghost. #printmaking #serigraphy #wip
On Wednesday, I had a wonderful #serigraphy marathon. It wound up being over 5 hours of #printmaking.
I printed a shirt, on a piece of wood, an old encyclopedia page, and 10 pieces of white paper.
This was the first time I did it in 20 years, and the art studio I attended the course at was just lovely. I learned a lot of new things that I'm certain I didn't know the first time around, even if the first time was at a uni.
I adapted my linocut #Kalevala "Otso" #bear print for this.

Throwback to one of my favorite artist books I've made.
Rooted Nostalgia
#Serigraphy, plexiglass, acetate, Reeves BFK, cardstock
A three 'chapter' book of Earth inspired by my home and love of nature, created as a physical manifestation of anticipated nostalgia regarding my significant change of locale after nearly 26 years of living in the same area.
Chapter 1: Cartography
Chapter 2: Stratigraphy
