Last week, I travelled down to the Sjuhärad region to deliver these heddles to Vävkompaniet and visit Åke Erlandsson, who has been making heddles for them for many years. It was awesome to see some of the heddles he's made and his workshop, where he has crafted several hundreds of them.

You can buy these heddles (and my darning mushrooms) on Vävkompaniet's website. Naturally, Åke's fantastic heddles are also available there!

Here is the latest folding spoon that i have made for a costumer. its made out of cherry wood. I absolutely love how the chipcarved pattern turned out, i will definetly do a similar pattern in the future. I usually sketch out a small part of the pattern in advance and then the rest of the pattern is allowed to grow out of the sketch when I carve.

This was a commisoned pice. a spoon like this one would cost about 4000 SEK. Its takes about three days of fulltime work to make a spoon like this.

Here is a small shrinkpot that I made two years ago during the Teknikfördjupning (technique deepdive) course at Sätergläntan. I chose to delve into different ways of creating cut through decors, and this shrinkpot was the end result

I'll try to share a bit more about how the different cut through techniques are made and the pros and cons of the different types at a later date. Just have to buy a new saw first

On Monday, I got these ten bowls back from an exhibition. They are called "Reparation inom slöjden" (In English: Repair in Slojd (or Crafts)). It's a piece all about repair and the right to repair. Most of these bowls have been repaired using a method that has been used historically here in Sweden and around the world by ordinary people. This demonstrates that repair is a skill everyone can learn and apply, even today.

This connection between historical repair practices and modern repair hobbies is evident in my own interest in repairing electronics. Just as people in the past used simple methods to fix everyday items, today we often only need a basic understanding and a search engine to repair many issues. The main challenge now is accessing spare parts. Previously, a lot of things were more mechanical and easier to repair in a personalized and fun way. By embracing the principles of repair from the past and driving companies to provide spare parts, we can make a big difference in this world. And that's really what this piece is all about.
