@servelan there is the possibility he meant it as a (still creepy) compliment and not as a rape threat.
But if that's the case he hopefully learned a lesson in thinking before speaking.
@cykonot @servelan I dunno, more like "if I ever had a choice I'd like to do it with you"
Now I don't know the situation at hand, but I know stupid and horny teenage boys. It just sounds like one of those stupid things they say because they can't even understand how it could be misinterpreted. Teenagers are DUMB, even if they aren't malicious.
On the other hand the guy might just have been an evil little shitnugget, so what do I know?
@kagan @cykonot @servelan I'm just, you know, acting from my own experience of saying and doing stuff I thought was normal or even nice, and having it interpreted in the worst possible way.
I think a lot of people had that experience as teenagers, you know, that stuff you said where even years later you think back and get embarrassed about it?
I just don't wanna jump on the outrage train and call for a kid to be expelled if there's a chance that it might have been just stupidity.
@kyonshi I can't understand how "Your body, my choice" could possibly be intended as a "normal or even nice" thing to say. To me, at least, its very plain, obvious intent seems to be, "I don't care about your choice, and will use your body however I see fit."
Can you explain to me how someone could mean this in a nice way?
@kagan @cykonot @servelan nice? Maybe not. As I said, it would be creepy anyway.
It just strikes me as a phrase that could be used as a creepy come on (as in: your body is so fine it would be my choice), especially if the speaker doesn't get all the implications of the phrase.
Now if it was an adult male I would say definitely a threat. For a teenager I would say, eh, 70-80% a threat and otherwise a very dumb teenager trying to use a phrase he heard and doesn't understand.
@kyonshi Dude. Learn to take a hint. Stop talking.
