What's y'all's favorite Arabic/Persian/Greater Middle-Eastern influenced desert settings/adventures/tables/blog posts/etc for RPGs? It can be an entire world book or something like "this adventure is set in an icy place but if you tweak X and Y it'd be great for a desert setting."

I love desert fantasy and I want to try to do it right when my players are in a desert.

Even things like things I can read or watch that embodies typical cultural values that a desert region can produce. For example, Dune shows some interesting ideas around water scarcity.

@sean GURPS introductory adventure "Caravan to Ein Arris" is middle eastern themed and is free to download.

@hackbarth I'll check it out! Thanks!

@sean Gabor Lux designs very evocative adventure locales and some were in a desert setting. I particularly remember "Tower of Birds" from Fight On Magazine #2. There was a short review here: tenfootpole.org/ironspike/?p=6

@sean Not to toot my own horn, but I wrote a desert-themed adventure for 4e entitled "Oasis of the Golden Peacock" (Dungeon 169).

@Tim_Eagon I wish they would release 4e into creative commons :c There was a lot of good in that game (there definitely were some unfortunate parts though) that got tossed aside. I'll try to get that, thanks!
