Pretty amazed to see the demand for the #EuropeanSleeper this afternoon. Platform is really busy!
Photo from the diverted #EuropeanSleeper 1278 (and later 1279) from yesterday. As mentioned, due to maintenance works the train got diverted via Maastricht instead of Roosendaal. A good opportunity to photograph the train in Zuid-Limburg 
. The photo has been taken just before Maastricht with a TCS (ex-NS) 1700 providing traction.

The rules of #DiningCar are different to a normal restaurant. Sharing a table means guaranteed conversation (in my case, with two Aussies on a month-long Europe trip).
The food on the #EuropeanSleeper was good value, especially for train catering: I paid €35 (£31) for three courses and a glass of wine.

#EuropeanSleeper has a new bond loan. I've just subscribed and paid my chunk because I'm interested in #cooperative #finance but to be frank the numbers are a bit crazy. Not recommended for the faint of heart.
Anyone planning to go to #FOSDEM from Berlin in 2025? I'm looking into booking an entire cabin for 6 people on the #EuropeanSleeper train for both ways. That would be about 64€ per person per trip. Let me know if you are interested!

Been a while since I was last on this SJ nattåg. I do the ferries more often between Germany and Sweden.
Compared to the #EuropeanSleeper I was supposed to be on last night, this Euronight compartment feels newer, but much more cramped. (I ride Berlin–Brussels/Rotterdam overnight quite frequently now when #NotFlying between Wales and Sweden.)
That's a sink, btw, not a toilet for exhibitionists.

Aus den zeitweise >40Minuten Verspätung in Berlin sind wir pünktlich in Antwerpen angekommen. Das Doppelabteil war riesig, die Betten bequem. Alles reichlich alt, die Toilette museal (1 ging nicht, aber der Nachbar-Liegewagen hatte eine weitere).
Warum fährt der #europeansleeper eigentlich mit leeren "Füllwagen" (ungenutzte Liegewagen) am Anfang (2) und am Ende (3). Gibt es ne Vorschrift für eine Mindestlänge?

Im Preis enthalten ist ein Willkommensgetränk. Hatte ganz vergessen, dass es Dosen gibt. Abgesehen davon, sehr nett.
Eine spannende Reise geht los. Mit knapp 10 Minuten Verspätung fahren wir mit dem #europeansleeper von #Dresden nach #Antwerpen. Scheinbar im einzigen Schlafwagen in dem langen Zug.
Einen Wagenstandsanzeiger gibt es nur auf der Seite des Betreibers. Aber dir Reihenfolge stimmt auch :-)
