#Palestine / Families of killed or deceased hostages to the Chief of Staff: “Don't let 'Operation Gideon' become a Hannibal style operation!"

That was the stark message from families of killed or deceased hostages to the Chief of Staff. Gathered outside the Kirya in Tel Aviv, they begged Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi not to allow any operation that could harm living hostages or lead to the loss of remains. Noam, daughter of Haim Peri, whose body was recovered from Gaza, called on the Chief of Staff to stand firm with the political leadership and make the hostages' return the top priority. "Don't force IDF soldiers to compromise the fate of the hostages," she pleaded. Karmit Palty Katzir, sister of Elad Katzir, killed in captivity, stated: "We are a living testament to the fact that military pressure kills hostages and hides the dead."

The Disintegration of Netanyahu's Project — The State No Longer Exists

Qutoing Yoana Gonen on how Israel failed its citizens and operates without moral restraint:

"[...] The government has completely disengaged from any responsibility towards its citizens, and the abandonment has not only continued – it has been expanded, doubled, and normalized. There is no contract, but rather a violent relationship between a rotten government and exhausted citizens. Not only was there no recovery – even shame barely registered.

Gonen, argues that the Israeli government, under #Netanyahu, has fundamentally abandoned its responsibility to its citizens, effectively dismantling the social contract that underpins a democratic state. She contends that recent events—specifically, the U.S.-led release of captive soldier Idan Alexander and the revelation of the circumstances surrounding the death of Tom Godo [*] on October 7th—demonstrate a pattern of neglect, disregard for human life, and a prioritization of political goals over the well-being of Israeli citizens. She concludes that Israel is no longer a state that protects and serves its people, but rather a system where the government operates with impunity and citizens are left vulnerable.

[*] Channel 13 revealed on Sunday that the #IDF killed an Israeli civilian, Tom Godo, on 8 October 2023 while he was hiding in the safe room of his home with his wife and three daughters and covered up the incident.

I was following the news on various telegram channels (in English, Arabic and Hebrew) and one of the stories that completely disappeared from the web and news media was what happened to the "Sderot’s local police station" where Palestinian resistance taking a stand against the Israeli military and police.

I had pictures of when IDF used bulldozers against it and when tanks arrived at the site, but then everything was cut off and all you could see was the destroyed building (with all the Israeli police and civilians inside) and nothing else.

All that is available today is some propaganda pieces by the Israeli media without a SINGLE mention of the actual events on that day and all those killed there are listed as "murdered by Hamas".

@RememberUsAlways @gme
I'd say that a “music festival” on illegally occupied land is a huge provocation. Approved only two days prior to the event, with removed border patrols, detailed intel about HAMAS plans, and after several warning signs (by Egypt and others)
... it was an opportunity to explain a #zioNAZI #genocide, almost like the #radioGleiwitz incident. No need to mention that #hannibaldirective didn't help saving Jews.

You're not in denial that @israel took far over 9,000 hostages in @palestine, starved, tortured, and abused them as human shields, aren't you?

Do you condemn #terroristorganizations and #fundaMENTAL #fascists like #irgun & #Haganah, now?

"Critics say the Israeli army believes that 'a dead soldier is better than a kidnapped soldier'"

The Hannibal Directive was implemented by the IOF in their response to the Oct 7 Hamas incursion. The number of Israelis killed by the IOF on that day is still unclear, due to lack of an independent investigation.
This article goes into the meaning of the directive and its history.
It helps understand how fucked up Israelis are.
