The RecountPastor Harold Marrero yesterday, backing a resolution to establish LGBTQ history month in Broward County public schools.My name is Pastor Harold Marrero and I am also with safe School, South Florida. And today, I'm come here to say that we should support lgbtq history. You know? It is interesting how we forget the history of this country, where people who claim to follow a certain belief system, people who claim to follow Christ. We're also the ones that were enslaving whole groups of people the ones. We're putting barriers and saying that these people are less than the ones that were trying to rewrite history even back. Then this is not anything new. This is something an old Playbook and to say that we are people that lgbtq people are not supposed to be celebrated that are historical contributions, are something that should not be learned is quite frankly just not true. Where people have been part of the fabric of humanity ever since it's the humanity begun, stood up and started to think where people are part of God's Great creation. Queer people are the rainbow that represents the wide death of humanity. We are here and we would not be erase even if today you're able to do this, you are all in the wrong side of History.
