Last moment to participate in our #wiki-#interview with #MayaFelixbrodt!
Your questions are awaited only for 36 more hours!

The motives of the first round are #interdisciplinary #art, #publishing #musicalGames, and many others to read here:
musicgames.wikidot.com/source:

Questions for the second round gathered so far, will be about:
* #ethicalAI in art,
* the process of gathering performance pieces for the journal (which will include probably the first usage of the word "masturbation" on G4M... 🤞)

Finding solutions together!

Oh man, do I feel this comic.

Since starting to lead interdisciplinary projects, I´ve started to dread the "start of the meeting by introducing yourself" round.

"Hi, I´m a psychologist with a PhD in neuroscience who worked in pharma then in farm animal behaviour and welfare and now in farm animal welfare and sustainability and getting more and more into animal law" just doesn´t have the same ring as "Hi, I´m Jo, cardiologist."

PODCAST: Amanda Wasielewski explores the convergence of art history and computer science, highlighting how machine learning can analyze art images and revive formalism. This interdisciplinary approach offers new perspectives on data politics, categorization, and the nuances lost in automation. How can such collaborations reshape our understanding of art in the digital age?

"We need to shape the future; our students today need to be the leaders of the society that will use AI. They need to have a grounding in ethics, history, anthropology, community studies, design, and other disciplines, so that it is not purely about technology. (…) Therefore, we need to equip the next generation with greater skills than just technology."

Hello #fediverse #introduction

This is the account of the Mathematics for Materials modelling (MatMat) group at the institutes at #EPFL lead by @herbst.

We work on #atomistic simulations of materials taking an #interdisciplinary point of view to make methods faster and understand their modelling errors. Our goal is to provide reliable simulation methods that help finding the materials of the future!

Here we will post updates on our #research activities and group-related events.

Why should researchers engage in #interdisciplinary research? When is this approach most appropriate? And how can scholars from different disciplines collaborate effectively?
