It's worth noting a detail here: Jacinta Nampijinpa Price repeated a speechmaking fallacy made by Peter Dutton in his grudging-acceptance-of-losing-the-2025-election speech.
They both quoted a 1942 slogan by Robert Menzies, founder of the Liberal Party, "The Forgotten People," but they have no idea what it means.
Howard, Abbott, Turnbull, and Dutton forgot all about the people the Liberal Party serves. The party of Menzies is long dead.
In case it's not clear, this is a satirical post — it starts quoting what Jacinta Nampijinpa Price really said, then I made it veer into what she really meant.

I will #voteyestovoice because a "no" means we make our Indigenous communities stay exactly as they are even longer. And that isn't acceptable.
#Dutton #jacintanampijinpaprice and co are playing those communities. It is disgusting to see the politicising of an issue around people already damaged by white settler policy.
