In addition to taking a walk in the park after last week's snow, I took a drive down to North Bend. The intent was to see if I could find some of the elk that live down that way and get some elk-in-the-snow shots. Alas, I did not see them.

So I stopped by one of my favorite views of Mount Si, figuring it would look very nice with a fresh coat of snow.

It did. :)

Gear: Nikon Z 7II, Nikon Z 24-70mm f2.8 S

Color photo. Mount Si rises above the waters of Borst Lake. The far shore is lined with bare trees. The sheer faces of the mountain are white with new snow. Three puffy white clouds are in the blue sky above the mountain. The top half of the photo is reflected in the water of the bottom half.

I summited #MountSi in #Northbend Washington this morning, and found a Mountain Goat staring down at me as I boulderd up the last pitch known as the haystack. He was unimpressed with me, as I waited for him to clear the path of my intended route. I don't know how aggressive they could be, but on the side of a mountain, I'm inclined to give them right-of-way.
