More study sketches! This time I referenced the work of Yusuke Nakano, lead artist on the Zelda Oracle games on GBC, and Ocarina of Time on N64. I leaned more towards adapting the Oracle designs into my own style, while for Ocarina of Time I followed the designs more closely for practice.

I used to do this sort of thing a lot when I was younger - it's nice getting back to drawing just for myself again <3

For #VGMWednesday this week I have Maple the Witch's Theme from the Oracle games. In the game on random map screens Maple will appear flying low on her broom, and if you get in her path you'll both drop a bunch of items. Then it's a scramble to see who can pick up all of the valuable ones first!

I don't know why she prefers to pick up bombs over rupees. You can buy bombs with the rupees girl!

This is because in 2011, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda franchise, Nintendo, with the help of Grezzo, created an enhanced port of Four Swords with some quality of life enhancements for the Nintendo DSi. Nintendo also made this title available for a brief period on the Nintendo 3DS in 2014.

With such wonderful Zelda titles, it would make sense to remake these games at some point, however, there may be some licensing issues. While we don't know the full extent of the licensing agreement between Nintendo and Capcom, it is entirely possible that Nintendo could remake these games.

A long time ago, Nintendo allowed Capcom to create some standalone Zelda titles starting with Oracle of Ages & Oracle of Seasons in 2001 on the GameBoy Color, then the Four Swords multiplayer game mode bundled with the GameBoy Advance port of A Link to the Past in 2002, and one more time with creating the Minish Cap in 2004.

I've been excited for Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons on Nintendo Switch Online since they announced them.
I somehow managed to get both of them as a kid and (aside from the original on my mom's hand me down NES) they were the first Zelda games I played. Really excited to replay them both.

Any suggestions on which I should start with?
