I love everything about this post. A friend of mine sent it to me and it had me laughing. In a good way, of course.

I've always either imagined Peter Cushing or Christopher Plummer as our dear Regis. It's a toss-up between the two of them, I swear.

What's even wilder is that said friend sent me another post where one of the game developers commented and basically confirmed that they had Peter Cushing in mind for Regis. That blew my mind. And it's funny because now that's two characters I adore... Emmrich was created with him in mind as well. 🔥

Celebrating the life of Peter Cushing (Peter Wilton Cushing), born 112 years ago today on May 26, 1913. Here we pay tribute to him as the ultimate vampire hunter, Doctor Van Helsing, in Dracula (1958), a Hammer horror movie starring Christopher Lee in the title role. 🎧 Listen to Speckled Band’s tribute track Vampire Nights, out to stream and download everywhere.

The third story in my Sherlock Holmes series has arrived.

Here's my Holmes, if you're curious: agoodtuckering.tumblr.com/tagg

Following the events of the night prior, Sherlock Holmes makes a decision to call upon Miss Adler. There's no denying the truth of it all. The pair have already made their confessions.

A small teaser:

“He wasn’t wrong,” she added. “You /are/ a man, after all. And I am a woman.”

His head tilted, mind elsewhere as he replied. “You aren’t /a woman/, Irene. You are /the Woman/.”

The creeping flesh (1973)

TMDb

New story alert! I started a series for some friends over on Archive of Our Own. It's called The Order of the Burning Coin. The entire premise of it is very Hammer Horror, if I may say so myself.

Part two was just published.

Some related things from Horror Express: tumblr.com/agoodtuckering/tagg

After learning about this new discovery and the horror that took place aboard the Trans-Siberian Express, the Royal Geological Society has a proposition for both Dr. Paul Wells and Prof. Alexander Saxton. Will they agree?

#WordWeavers 16 — How long is your shortest work?

I've been incredibly busy lately, but I just wanted to answer this prompt. It's fascinating to me, honestly. I loved reading everyone's responses.

I have two short stories that I can think of at the moment. I've written tons, but hey. Ironically, both of these are Sherlock Holmes-related (and for Irene and Sherlock to boot). They were written yeaaars apart from each other.

1. Desire Beyond Skin, 2025
Written For: Arthur Conan Doyle's Books
Word Count: 826

2. On the Edge of Forever, 2019
Written For: BBC's Sherlock Series
Word Count: 375

I love both of these pieces so much.

New story alert! I posted something last night in an effort to make myself feel a bit better. It was a story that was sent in as a Tumblr prompt by a friend and I'm really satisfied with the way it came out. It was a tough one to write, only because the plot came to me as I working on it. I had no ideas beforehand. If you're a fan of Hammer Horror, of Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, then you'll love this one.

Some (funny memes or serious gifset-related) posts about one of my favorite horror films if you're interested: tumblr.com/agoodtuckering/tagg

The accompanying video always makes me chuckle. It's one of the best deliveries of /no/ I've ever heard. Also, Cushing's reaction is priceless.

What can I say? These two, storyline-wise, just gave "big ex energy" to a lot of people. There's a big fanbase over on both Tumblr and AO3.

The events that took place aboard the Trans-Siberian Express leave Dr. Paul Wells and Prof. Alexander Saxton rather startled, and for good reason. They travel back to England together. Much later, at Alexander's flat, a few revelations are made.

The second story in my Sherlock Holmes series has arrived.

Here's my Holmes, if you're curious: agoodtuckering.tumblr.com/tagg

I'm including the accompanying video not because it has much to do with the plot of my story but just because I love it, and it's from one of my favorite films.

Another case is solved, this one with the help of Miss Adler. Baker Street is silent for a while, and Sherlock Holmes is more than grateful for her assistance. Confessions come to light in the aftermath.

So, I did a thing tonight and wanted to share it with everyone.

Random but over the years, I've written well over 100+ Sherlock Holmes-related stories on other sites. I’ve even written roleplay stories as various different versions of Sherlock Holmes, Mycroft Holmes, and John Watson. I wanted to move some of my stories to AO3, and perhaps add a few new ones while I’m at it. So, here goes nothing.

Here's my Holmes, if you're curious: agoodtuckering.tumblr.com/tagg

Come one particularly rainy afternoon, Sherlock Holmes finds that he has a rather interesting visitor who's popped round to say hello.
