3. #ElectoralReform (i.e. #ProportionalRepresentation) is the Number 1 thing for me.
Once we have PR like real democracies have then parties and individual MPs (and MPPs and MLAs) will be much more responsive to what their constituents actually want, so 1. Elbows (International Trade? Foreign Policy? National Defence?) and 2. Climate will be much easier to get.

@nigelsezyarr @rhymerepartee there is a bit more to understand about #ProportionalRepresentation. It is not a single electoral system, it is a characteristic which many voting systems have or lack. I have voted Liberal once in my 16 Federal Elections voting life. The first time was Justin Trudeau in 2015 on the promise to make it the last election under our #firstpastthepost system. He infamously reneged on that promise as his party had won the election with less than 50% of the vote and ended with 100% of the power. I have swallowed my disappointment and voted Liberal once again

@Jeneric Fair enough. And yet the vote projections (see graphic) show that enough people will consider voting liberal and so put iDiotte into a frontrunner position (within the margins of error), and rob us of a woke guy who actually showed up for work; he also represented us quite well. (I say this as a Green supporter, but I'm now voting NDP.) Stupid #firstpastthepost system that we have; we desperately need #ProportionalRepresentation!

One of the 1 of 200 hosts asks Marx whether Canada has considered MMP. Apparently they have, but the liberals and conservatives keep blocking it.
I recommend citizens who want proportional representation in their countries campaign for STV, not MMP. I say that having voted in elections using both MMP (NZ general elections since 1996) and STV (some local body elections).

US elections are mathematically complicated! German and UK are too, BTW. Dutch elections are much more simple to understand because of the #proportionalrepresentation
