Guez. Guez is a local graff-writer known for their iconic dog character, usually done in one continuous line. #SFGraffiti #Graffiti #Guez Shout out to the Sapien tag in the photo too.

Some pieces by Being, one of my fave local graff writers and a member of the Stolen Ohlone Fields Crew. Their art reminds me of folk art, but then again, all graffiti is folk art. #SFGraffiti #Graffiti #SOFCrew

Graffiti on a post. It’s a drawing of a mermaid (I think) and the word “Being”. The art is white paint pen and the style is much looser than usual graffiti. Like a kid drew it.

I spotted these posters all around the Mission today. The art is silkscreened in red ink onto thin paper, then wheat-pasted onto walls and hostile architecture (like metal barriers on sidewalks). #SFGraffiti #Graffiti

A large poster that says “The American Dream” in red ink. It shows a drawing of a tent on a sidewalk, with a small doormat near the entrance and an electric guitar near the doormat outside the tent. The tent looks like many of the tents we see around San Francisco as people struggle with housing. I’m assuming the “American dream” in the text is referring to have a place to live, but housing is extremely expensive, so not everyone can afford a permanent place to call home.

Three posters that have been glued to a metal trough that has dirt and plants in it. These large metal troughs are placed on urban sidewalks to make it harder for people to congregate at. The posters all show a homeless person’s tent with text that says “The American Dream”.

I was walking down Mission Street and saw this graffiti artist hitting up walls with this cool tag. They'd draw it real quick, then hop on their skateboard and do it again a block down. I never had a chance to catch up with them, but I wonder what name they use. #SFGraffiti #Graffiti

The dog is cutely drawn and a speech bubble near it's mouth shows the anarchy symbol. Text at the corner says "SOFC", which stands for Stolen Ohlone Fields Crew. The dog is drawn by an artist known as Play.

An old Duncan yo-yo sticker that says “if it isn’t a Duncan, it isn’t a yo-yo”. It shows a drawing of a man with a yo-yo. In the big negative space I’m the center of the yo-yo, a graffiti artist named Matsu has drawn one of his mushroom characters and added text that says “fucking b8ked. lol”. I think it’s worth noting this sticker was pasted onto a bike rack in front of a weed dispensary.

A large sticker with text that says “Draw a flower”. There are a few sharpies stuck to the wall near the sticker using tacky putty, and folks have drawn various flowers on the white space of the sticker using tacky there are a dozen flowers drawn in different sharpie colors. Text at the bottom of the sticker says “by the misssion”, which is referring to the neighborhood the sticker is in. Another bit of text says “get off the Internet” which is also another thing I see written on many stickers in the neighborhood, so it might be the moniker the original artist goes by.

A wheatpasted poster on a wall that is covered with other posters and graffiti. It is a black and white poster showing Gort and Klaatu from The Day The Earth Stood film (a 1950s science fiction movie) and a spaceship. Red text on the poster says "Klaatu barada nikto, dammit!", which is a reference to a line in the film. The two characters look very retro science fiction, one is supposed to be a giant robot, the other is a humanoid in an unusual spacesuit.

A surreal drawing on a concrete post the Bernal Steps. There is nice green plants and flowers in the background. The art is drawn in black wink with white highlights and doesn't look like it was put there in an "official" capacity. It shows an upright rabbit, with internal combustion motors and parts where it's torso would be. So it's part rabbit, part machine. The art is extremely detailed and very intricate.

Zoost tags. Spotted a #BernalHeights today. #SFGraffiti #graffiti

A street post on Cortland that was tagged by Zoost. They tagged it twice, in two different styles. One is messy, the other is easier to read. They both have pupils drawn in the "o"s to make them look like eyes.
