#Trump used #NationalDayOfPrayer to push his "one big beautiful bill". Tax cuts for the very wealthy, which are "part of the religion"

"We love that bill, I won't like it if it doesn't pass. Neither will you. If it doesn't pass, your taxes are going to go up 68 percent"

"And this is a religious ceremony to me, but that's part of the religion, because if your taxes go up 68 percent, you might give up your religion. You might have no choice. You'll be working too hard to try and make it"

I'm planning to be there! 🤞

MobilizeGuerilla Advocacy Round 3 · COVID Long-Haulers Against FascismGUERILLA ADVOCACY: Let's take back our country! For 100 days, the world has watched Trump, Musk, and DOGE tear apart every fiber of the fabric that constitutes the United States. From mass firings in every sector to economic turmoil here and abroad. We need to continue pushing back relentlessly -- and we cannot leave anyone behind. COVID Long-Haulers Against Fascism is bringing the rally to YOU! Not everyone can get out to participate in person, but every person should have access to hear and be heard. And this week, we're joined by a fantastic crew of dedicated organizers in the public health, LGBTQIA+, disability, and creative communities. Gregg Gonsalves, epidemiologist Chantzy, long COVID advocate Paul Hennessy, public health advocate Sean Mullen, researcher and public health advocate Jae Moyer, LGBTQIA+ advocate Charis Hill, disability advocate John James, HIV advocate Peter Corliss, community organizer Chris Kocher, community organizer, former executive director of COVID Survivors for Change and Everytown for Gun Safety Suswati Basu, journalist Effie Seiberg, writer Most importantly, we'll explain what guerilla advocacy means, and how you can use it from wherever you are, whatever your abilities. If you have joined us previously and have tried this, please let us know! We may have journalists present, and the space will be recorded so people who are unable to participate at the time can be included as well. Capacity is limited to 1,000 participants, so we recommend logging in a bit early to make sure you can grab a spot. You will need a registered Zoom account to join, but lucky us! It's free. This is for our own protection and to keep the space focused on the task at hand: defending all that is good in this country, and addressing what is broken. We look forward to seeing you again or for the first time! If you have found ways to practice guerilla advocacy, please let us know. We'd love to hear from you! Eliza Orlins: You can’t “deport” American citizens

"Earlier this week, #ICE forcefully exiled three U.S. citizen children—including a 4-year-old battling cancer. Eliza Orlins
makes it clear: These are not lawful deportations—they’re kidnappings

Speak up. Speak out. Fight back."

The Alien Enemies Act does NOT give Trump authority to abduct and deport
robertreich.substack.com/p/the

"A federal #judge today ruled that #Trump doesn’t have authority to use the #AlienEnemiesAct of 1798 to deport Venezuelan migrants without a hearing....

The Act is only applicable in times of #war, said the judge... we are not at war with #Venezuela...

And this is from a Trump-appointed judge."

Trump’s taken a page right out of Marcus Licinius Crassus’ sleaze manual.

Back in the day, Crassus set up Rome’s first fire brigade—not out of civic duty, mind, but as a way to turn disaster into a bargain. When a place went up, his blokes (slaves) would rock up—with buckets, and an offer. Sell your joint for bugger-all and maybe they’d put out the fire. Say no, and you’d be left watching your home turn into a bonfire.

And it wasn’t just your house copping it—the neighbours on both sides got dragged in too. Whole bloody street under the pump: flog it cheap or watch it burn.

Trump’s whole career’s a raging dumpster fire, and half the time, he’s the one who struck the bloody match in the first place.

With any luck the myth of what happened to Crassus after the Parthians got hold of him will be visited on this prick.

I’m the firestarter, twisted firestarter.
