One analyst's report that the Christmas movies from Hallmark, 3/4 made in #Canada, will suffer greatly from #DonaldJTrump's newly declared Tariff War on cheap and cheerful #USMovies, makes me think.
It's essentially a Trumpist War on Christmas— Hallmark's version of Christmas, at any rate.
If Hallmark is not going to be able to afford making roughly 1/2 of its (clearly low budget) #ChristmasMovies, where will Christmas24 in the U.K. import its new movies from now?
Some questions about #elf
1. Does Buddy have superpowers? Supernatural powers? His snowball fight and decorating speed hint that he does.
2. If he's so incredible at decorating, why does he suck at the toy-construction tasks compared to the other elves?
3. Why does he eat the gum on the streets after Santa specifically told him not to?
4. How does he know the lyrics to “Baby It’s Cold Outside”? It's not a Christmas song, it's a creepy ‘seduction’ song from an old musical.
5. How does a suburban paediatrician confirm that he’s Walter’s son within minutes? Does he have a DNA machine out the back?
6. Is it OK for Jovi to be dating a man who’s clearly mentally ill?
7. Did Miles Finch have issues with the plasma TV in his home in Vail, Colorado? They had technical problems at high altitudes.

For me Stardust has become one of those 'Christmas movies that aren't really Christmas movies', like Willy Wonka.
