I have another packet from Lorne which from first glance appears to be a few of the same photos, just printed in black and white so I'll get those scanned at some point. Here's the last of the painted batch (so far, if the other three turn up I'll post them)

So, back in the day you could buy little packets of photos of tourist spots. These were marketed as "for your album" on the basis that if you even had a camera with you, you only got around 12 photos per roll of film and buying one of these photo packets promised nice clear shots of the best spots.

I found some in my Aunt's photo box (one of) so here's #Lorne in #Victoria circa 1940s.

They're small, only 8cm x 6.5cm - the size of a photo from a half frame camera (give or take) and are indeed real photos. These ones are hand coloured, with varying detail. Also 3 are missing.
