Nearly a TPK tonight in #AchtungCthulhu - fortunately I’d swapped out the characters with some pregens for the British Honduras section. @TheTweedmeister’s smooth German secret agent was the only survivor. The Nazi Occult forces now have a part of the Palladion.

Preparing for the next part of #shadowsofatlantis for tomorrow night & once again reminded how poorly edited the scenario is. Fortunately, I have copies for the first edition of it with extra maps and background.
If it wasn't such a fun campaign, I'd have given up before I started. The book fails to deliver information effectively and is hopeless for quick referencing. Fortunately, later campaigns are much better structured (for example The Serpent and the Sands).
We're drawing towards the end of the Egypt chapter in #shadowsofatlantis in our #AchtungCthulhu2D20 #ttrpg campaign. Here's a quick reflection on where we are, 12 sessions in.

Taking advantage of a quiet morning to do prep for my #shadowsofatlantis game this week with the #AchtungCthulhu2D20 #ttrpg I go down a rabbit hole of following a reference to the Persian Corridor in WW2 only to find that it doesn't exist for another 3 years in reality (it needs the Soviet Union and Germany to go to war) as the game is still firmly in September 1939.
Sigh.
After a couple of failed sessions since Christmas, it was nice to get #shadowsofatlantis for #achtungcthulhu back in play. Only 3 players could make it ( @TheTweedmeister, @eladrin and Simon) but they enthusiastically brought the Rome mission to an end with success, and lots of machine-gun fire. Next they take a boat to Egypt to try and find out more of what is going on.
In preparation for Session 1 of #shadowsofatlantis for the #achtungcthulhu #2d20 #ttrpg this week, I've just posted a short blog entry for the players on the events through to mid-August 1939. It's not comprehensive, but I felt it was important that they get their heads around the tensions pre-war.
