The walk in the forest area earlier this week brought in some interesting sights... here's something that the #invertebrate feed might find interesting. #Photography #Nature #BackyardWildlife
It's been a while since I last came across a Frog in the wild (and had the camera ready to photograph).
Indian Bullfrog.

look at this tiny spood that has made such a pretty web, at first glance it almost looked like a snow flake stuck in time and space. #Invertebrate #Photography #nature #backyardwildlife
Caught in the act, it froze for a moment before scuttling backward to (try its best to) disappear from my view.
Off to the Feed.

you know when you're walking in the woods, and you hear the sound of some creature moving in the green, hidden from plain sight...
I experienced it way to many times today, and every time it was a crab running away!

Look at this tiny birb I found during my morning walk (behind our building) Can't figure if a Prinia (most likely but which one?) or a Thick-billed Flowerpecker (what iNat is most confident on). #Photography #Birds #nature #BackyardWildlife #IDmyBird #BirdButt
Female ruby-throated #hummingbird that has been hanging around our backyard this summer.

#Bumblebee visiting another white #flower in the garden, an Althea (aka Rose of Sharon). The #bumblebees seem to prefer white #flowers around the house, or maybe it just appears that way because they are more noticeable against the white.
Anole in my window.
A flying #squirrel but not a flying squirrel.
Photo ID says this is a Scudderia furcata, a Fork-Tailed Katydid nymph, spotted in the garden hanging out on a Turk’s Cap leaf.
