“Recently my wife Mags was due to take our daughter to watch #BridgetJones at the cinema in #Stockport. Unfortunately my wife became ill in the morning which meant a long day in A and E but thankfully the outcome was not as bad as first feared. We were very relieved.
Alas the cinema outing was missed. Next day Mags asked me to go to watch the movie as our daughter was otherwise busy. I agreed despite romcoms not being my thing. I have been known to nod off minutes in!

That was soooo good and it hits you in the way a Bridget Jones story should with plenty of smile inducing moments, moments of awkward unease and truely emotional moments that pull on your heart strings
It makes me feel old to think that the original film was released almost 25 years ago
We are all Bridget Jones in one way or another and that's why it resonates so deeply
