The propeller in Antonioni's Blow-Up must be one of the most intruiging objects ever to have appeared in a movie.
Makes me think of that Oscar Wilde quote 'all art is quite useless'.
Did Antonioni have this and/or other meanings with the inserted antiquety?
Did it contribute and symbolize (to) the protagonists fashion creations? Or it might not have any valid meaning, just a distraction.
