Been home from the dentist for about an hour or so now. The appointment went a LOT better than expected, at least for today.
They are referring me to an endodontist for what will likely be a root canal on one of my front teeth that I'm not excited about at all.
After that, at some point, I need to have some gum grafting done in two different spots, which will be done across two different appointments that will be about 4 - 6 weeks apart.
#Dentist appt achieved this am. Mask worn when not getting worked on. Portable air purifier on the whole time. All went well. Plus they have an awesome #fish tank #COVIDIsNotOver
A poll for non-flossers!
Have you ever had to have serious dental work done (requiring anaesthetic, etc) for something that could have been prevented by flossing? Such as, issues specifically starting between your teeth?

Bem hoje tive de ir de urgência a dentista, um buraco tapado, mais 3 intervenções, e hálito de dragonnnn, normal ela disse que tinha inflamação grande já.... 
Well today I had to urgently go to dentist, a covered hole, 3 more interventions, and Dragonnn's breath, normal she said she had big inflammation already ....
Silly question for #UK #NHS #dentist folks. I got an hand written appointment card the last time I was there. I will also get text reminded closer to the appointment.
The question is: has anyone ever re-used an appointment card. There are places on the card for multiple appointments but I have never given the card back to get another appointment.
My #Dentist has put up the price of their financial plan again.
Every year it goes up by £2-£3 a month.
I think it's time they start to justify these increases and show why their costs have increased and why that represents the same increase each year for me.

My dentist took a panoramic X-ray today, and it shows dozens of clamps.
I had no idea that last year's throat surgery had left so much in there! What a mess!

That cartoon is me this weekend. Cracked a molar on Thursday but can't see the dentist till Monday at 1...counting the hours. What's your go-to pain med? Ibuprofen is new to me but acetaminophen didn't work. Is Aleve any better? I've heard bad reports but if it helps. let me know.
I accidentally scheduled a #dentist check and cleanup session for this morning, 8 AM, not being aware that I might have vacation by then already. They were very happy with my dental hygiene and there are no changes/measures needed. Barely any pain during cleaning, bonus points for telling me "you're still young" 
(... even though my head goes "that's your fault, there's so much you have to know" every time I remember it)
