I Think They Love You was a sweet second chance/fake dating love story between Denz and Braylon. Denz comes from an event planning empire and his father, the CEO, is ready to step down and name his successor. In an attempt to make himself seem more responsible, Denz lies about being in a serious relationship. In an act of desperation, he convinces his Ex, Bray (who now goes by Braylon), to fake date him after running into each other for the first time since they broke up years ago.

This book was cute and sweet and all the things I love to see from a fake dating book!! I’m not usually a huge fan of second chance romance, but this one was done well. I loved the way we got to watch them fall back in love, both facing their fears to do so. The secondary characters were excellent, I laughed several times listening to this, and it left me feeling warm and fuzzy. One thing I gotta say though- what do you mean Bray went to England AS AN ADULT, stayed there for a couple years, and came home with a British accent? That’s insane. But truly, a minor gripe all things considered.

Thank you Netgalley for my copy of this audiobook!

But she can't forget what she saw. Journal entries dated with four-digit years, all starting with the number '2.' In Ishoraie, they are still living in the 1800s. At attempt by the developers, she assumes, to still have dates that seem relatable to the population but might invoke a vaguely Edwardian or Victorian feel. But the world has so many anachronistic details and items that it might as well be set during an SCA LARP. The small detail of the year that would only be noticed by those who read the supplemental materials is entirely unnecessary.

"The lord and lady are anticipating you in the drawing room," Lady Siobhan says, shoulders back and chin too high.

Too high for anyone that is not a comically exaggerated character archetype meant to be easily identifiable regardless of story, Fiona amends. But if she is a villainess, then what story? And where is the heroine?

She shakes her head, remembering a quick glance she had at a specific entry in Ein's journal. A mention of a specific plot point… A plot point in Saint's Awakening. But the villainess from that otome game is already here. Sitting right in front of her, holding her brother's hand.

Day 18 of #RomanceAwarenessMonth and I would like to hear about your favourite #FakeDating #FakeRelationship #RomanceBooks! One of mine is Annika Martin's "The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée". Rex & Tabitha's story is funny and warm, but there's also sadness because of Tabitha's past. Rex also has to do some grovelling... Honourable mention to "D'Vaughn & Kris Plan A Wedding" by Chenica C Higgins for nailing this trope

I almost don't want to jinx it but I'm loving this seasonal Fake Dating story. It's not plausible, but who needs plausible when there's this much PINING.

They're best friends who are up in each other's personal space all the time and she is constantly Noticing him, but neither dares make the first move. It's delightful.
